Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The IT Configuration Engineer will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting the platform, assisting users with platform-related issues, and setting up new clients. This role involves customizing client settings, including branding, email configuration, document setup, and tax defaults. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of modern office computing, with additional training provided for specific tools and tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Debug and resolve platform-related issues for end-users.
  • Set up new clients, including configuring branding, emails, documents, and tax defaults.
  • Support troubleshooting of configuration issues and provide assistance where needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve user experience and streamline configuration processes.
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans and policies to ensure system consistency.
  • Manage version control to track software, hardware, or system configuration changes.
  • Establish and maintain baselines for configurations as reference points for updates.
  • Review, evaluate, and implement changes, ensuring documentation and approval of all modifications.
  • Create and maintain configuration management documentation, including system specifications and change records.
  • Conduct configuration audits to ensure compliance with standards and verify documentation accuracy.
  • Use configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Ansible, Puppet) to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure quality assurance by monitoring that changes do not negatively impact system performance.
