The Role:
As IT Director, you will lead and oversee our technology infrastructure and IT operations, ensuring the organization’s systems align with its business strategy and objectives. You will manage a team of IT professionals, establish long-term IT goals, and drive initiatives related to system performance, cybersecurity, cloud services, and innovation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s goals.
• Collaborate with senior management and department heads to identify IT solutions that support business needs.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements and ensure Goway remains competitive through technological innovation.
• Infrastructure & Operations Management:
• Oversee the design, maintenance, and upgrading of IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Ensure continuous availability and reliability of systems, applications, and networks.
• Manage cloud services, data centers, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and training.
• Partner with HR to recruit and retain top IT talent.
• Cybersecurity & Risk Management:
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Vendor & Budget Management:
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting the company’s technology needs.
• Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to the executive team.
• Project Management:
• Oversee and manage IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to define objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Policy & Governance:
• Establish IT policies and best practices to ensure data security and system efficiency.
• Regularly review and update IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
• Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects and budgets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards
• Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and IT automation tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
• Operating Systems (Windows Server, Windows 10/11, mac OS);
• Network and Infrastructure Systems (Cisco, Juniper, or similar network infrastructure (routing, switching), Wireless technologies (Wi-Fi standards, access points), TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, Citrix, OpenVPN);
• Cloud Platforms and Services (Amazon Web Services, AWS Management Console, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Salesforce);
• Database Management Systems (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle Database);
• Collaboration and Communication Tools (Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange);
• Cloud Storage Systems (Amazon S3),
• IT Service Management Tools (Jira Service Desk);
• Project Management Tools (Microsoft Project, Jira);
• Monitoring and Performance Management (SolarWinds, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic);
• Cybersecurity Systems (SentinelOne, Symantec, McAfee)
