Job Summary:
The IT Domain Architect, aligned to all EMEA businesses, will have responsibility for establishing target state architectures, solution design within projects, and provide architectural guidance for addressing complicated technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Principal accountabilities of the role include setting the vision and solutioning for the future state technology to transform how we enable Trane’s capabilities
- Define EMEA focused target states and roadmaps across all technical domains while incorporating modern components like cloud & AI/ML
- Participate in the research, evaluation, & proof of concepts around emerging technologies (like IoT, robotics, VR/AR, blockchain) for applicability, compatibility, and viability
- Drive architecture design for EMEA projects and incorporate enterprise principles, standards, & patterns that drive standardization, simplification, reduced time to market, and lower to TCO
- Research & evaluate new and/or alternative solutions to create new and/or improve existing capabilities to improve the EMEA application experiences, reduce risk, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Define and design the future state reference architecture, standards, & patterns that drive standardization, simplification, reduced time to market, and lower TCO for EMEA solutions.
- Provide governance to ensure long range & annual planning projects are in alignment with architecture direction
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and business analysts communicating architectural concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven and progressive experience in IT.
- 5+ years of experience in digital, ERP, or architecture.
- Global exposure in a multi-national company is an asset.
- Preferably based in the EMEA region.
