Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities
- EnergySolutions is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join its remote team, contributing to comprehensive support for the organization’s IT infrastructure. As a vital member of the IT Infrastructure team, they will ensure the seamless operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Linux and Windows environment, storage infrastructure, and related systems. This role includes being the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Information Technology organization, making essential contributions to the successful execution of infrastructure projects.
- Designs, configures, administers, and troubleshoots technology solutions encompassing primarily the Linux environment and storage infrastructure, as well as other enterprise systems (Windows/VMWare/Citrix/etc).
- Assumes the role of the technical SME, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to guarantee the accomplishment of infrastructure projects and objectives.
- Addresses intricate problems by conducting thorough evaluations of diverse factors, resulting in the formulation of effective and sustainable solutions.
- Supports management in the assessment and acquisition of technology components, networking devices, hardware, and software from various vendors.
- Works alongside colleagues to sustain and enhance the IT infrastructure, ensuring consistent optimal performance and dependability..
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Skills
- Demonstrates superior technical, organizational, coordination, teamwork, and communication abilities
- Exhibits the capability to effectively convey technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Possesses expertise in Microsoft Windows servers and Microsoft 365 services
- Demonstrates high proficiency in implementing and administrating Linux systems, specifically RHEL and CentOS servers
- Displays skill in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows servers
- Familiarity with VMWare Hypervisors and VMWare Horizon
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of Storage Area Network (SAN) implementations
- Has a thorough grasp of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking
- Remains composed and effective under pressure, meeting deadlines consistently

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science or information systems or equivalent relevant experience
Certifications

Required Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in providing IT support within an enterprise-level context
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Citrix VDI administration
- A minimum of 6 years of practical experience in configuring and administering Linux systems
- A minimum of 7 years of involvement in IT infrastructure
- A minimum of 5 years of active participation in deploying and managing enterprise-level infrastructure
Preferred Experience
- Prior exposure to Netapp Storage solutions
- Proficiency with Citrix VDI Implementations
- Knowledge of KVM VM management
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
