Responsibilities:
We are looking for an IT Field Support Engineer who is responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for hardware, software, and networking issues across multiple locations.
This role involves troubleshooting, installing, and repairing IT equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of systems. The IT Field Support Engineer acts as a liaison between the IT department and end-users, delivering hands-on solutions to technical problems. The location could be retail shops and office locations.
On-Site Technical Support:
- Travel to various client or company locations to provide on-site technical assistance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and hardware components.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform regular maintenance on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct hardware repairs and replacements, including hard drives, memory modules, and other components.
- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical problems to minimize system downtime.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on-site, addressing their IT-related queries and concerns.
- Train end-users on proper use and maintenance of IT equipment and software applications.
- Develop and maintain user documentation and guides for common IT tasks and troubleshooting procedures.
Incident and Problem Management:
- Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using the company’s ticketing system.
- Analyze recurring issues and provide recommendations for long-term solutions.
