Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Governance Analyst to help establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and practices. The IT Governance Analyst will ensure that IT processes and strategies align with business objectives, comply with regulatory requirements, and support risk management efforts. This role involves collaborating with IT and business teams to implement governance standards and measure their effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance roles.
  • Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in IT service management tools and platforms.
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Preferred
  • Certification in governance or risk management frameworks (e.g., COBIT, CRISC, CISM, ITIL).
  • Experience with IT audit processes and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data governance and privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.

Responsibilities:

  • Governance Framework Development
  • Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure governance effectiveness.
  • Policy Implementation and Compliance
  • Monitor compliance with IT policies, procedures, and governance standards across the organization.
  • Work with audit and risk management teams to identify and address gaps in compliance.
  • Ensure IT governance policies are regularly reviewed and updated based on changing business needs or regulations.
  • Risk Management and Assessment
  • Identify and evaluate IT-related risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
  • Support risk assessments and audits to ensure IT processes meet regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans in collaboration with IT and business units.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate communication and understanding of governance policies among stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to IT teams on governance best practices and policies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of IT governance processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create detailed reports on IT governance compliance, performance, and risk status for senior management.
  • Track and report on IT governance metrics, including SLA adherence, risk indicators, and audit findings.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Research and recommend improvements to IT governance practices based on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to enhance governance practices and ensure alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to improve process efficiency and enhance organizational IT maturity.
