Description:

NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Helpdesk Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT Systems and devices. This role requires a strong understanding of production systems, devices for IT maintenance, and other IT applications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce
  • Ability to solve problems by proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams on issues
  • The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual skills (written and spoken) in English and Korean
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 3+ years experience in information technology as well as experiences detailed below:
  • SAP ERP Base SCM/Manufacturing/Purchasing/Logistic related IT operation experience
  • IT Maintenance (Helpdesk) Experience
  • IT Device (PC, N/W, Printer, PDA, etc) management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Understand operation scenarios, analyze and initially solve problems of systems and devices, and perform history management.
  • Receive, diagnose, and monitor errors to keep IT systems operating optimally.
  • Provide technical support for the installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for IT system/device installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
  • Maintain communication among colleagues in the department and discuss problems and ways to improve.
