Description:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • This position would suit someone with a good grasp of IT who is enthusiastic about learning on the job and would like to develop a career in IT;
  • Good problem-solving skills combined with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows;
  • Good communication skills with a client-focused, enthusiastic and proactive approach;
  • Third level IT qualification desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides 1st level helpdesk support to all MHC users answering first line phones and desk side support;
  • Good communication with all members of the IT Department;
  • Support MHC Systems, Hardware and Software;
  • Performing basic network administration such as user account set-up;
  • Train up on IT Cyber security and all aspects of IT security to ensure best practices are followed within MHC;
  • Bring any of the latest threats and trends to the attention of the IT Director
  • Assist in other tasks/projects as requested by IT staff
    The IT team operates on a shift basis between the hours of 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and on call phone support is required every 5 weeks. Candidates must have availability to work within these hours as required.
