PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful incumbent must have

  • 5+ GCSE A*- C, 4-9 or equivalent
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills
  • Desktop Computers and Printer Support expertise
  • Experience in Computer Repair
  • Strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will join on a full time, permanent basis (35 hours per week).
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, proactive and motivated candidate, with a genuine desire to develop a career in technology, who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, to work within a busy team. This is a mid-level position for someone with IT experience to gain additional skills and experience within an essential and demanding role, providing a courteous, friendly and professional service to staff, either via the telephone or in person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO; SEE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL REQUIREMENTS):

  • Prioritise and resolve helpdesk calls logged from all users to a satisfactory completion
  • Escalate support calls to other members of the ITS team, aiding them in problem resolution.
  • Helping resolve IT/technical incidents
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
