Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 of experience in IT implementation, preferably in voice and data services.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
Proficiency with computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
Familiarity with project/task management systems (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project) preferred.
Knowledge of National Standards for TIA/EIA, BICSI, and OSHA regulations.
Ability to interpret site surveys and drawings to identify project requirements.
Experience coordinating voice, data, and wireless technologies.
Familiarity with basic networking hardware, CAT-6, and Fiber Optics.
Poise and maturity to interact with all organizational levels and third-party contractors.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our team as an IT Implementation Engineer! You’ll be at the forefront of technology, coordinating voice and data services for small to medium-sized locations. You’ll manage projects involving new locations, relocations, renovations, and acquisitions, ensuring seamless implementation and operation of IT services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineer and implement wireless, VOIP, data routing/switching, call routing technologies, infrastructure, and cabling services.
Manage 30-35 projects of varying sizes with budgets up to $1 million.
Assess and determine voice/data needs using drawings and work request documentation.
Consult with branch resources to define needs and requirements according to established standards.
Use markup tool software to depict voice and data needs on drawings for cabling infrastructure.
Order and facilitate the installation of POTS lines for alarm services when applicable.
Analyze locations for new/existing voice/data services and order via vendor portals.
Determine and procure necessary hardware (switches, routers, UPS, access points).
Coordinate with vendors to establish requirements based on scope of work and bill of materials.
Oversee the installation of required hardware by third-party vendors.
Collaborate with networking engineers to define hardware and wireless requirements.
Provide necessary information to third-party wireless designers for wireless layouts.
Request and provide IP addresses, bind data, and circuit information to activate network services.
Approve quotes, request POs, and approve invoices for approved scope of work.
Ensure the completion of standardized tasks to coordinate, implement, install, and test all technical aspects of the enterprise voice and data network and infrastructure.
Communicate conduit, data, and fiber requirements to contractors and infrastructure vendors.
Test and identify shortfalls in initial installs and resolve follow-up issues.
Ensure infrastructure cabling, wiring closet (MDF/IDF), and hardware installations meet standards and certifications.
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of work-order activities using enterprise tools (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project).
Validate completed work by cabling vendors ensuring scope completion.
Coordinate with internal engineering, project management, support, and security groups, managing third-party contractor activities for location connectivity.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
