IT INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST

Wedlake Bell’s fantastic IT Team are recruiting an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our Infrastructure Team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Our IT team is a close-knit team of IT professionals ranging from first-line support through to our critical infrastructure and cybersecurity specialists. As an IT Infrastructure Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our critical IT infrastructure. You will work closely with senior IT staff to ensure our systems are robust, secure, and capable of meeting the challenges of a technology-driven business environment.
We are seeking a technical infrastructure expert, ideally from experience gained in a legal or similar professional services environment, to join a friendly and ambitious team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • We are seeking someone with strong technical infrastructure experience, ideally from a legal or similar professional services background.
  • Strong technical experience of:
  • VMware (ESXi/vCenter) and Windows Server Operating Systems;
  • Active Directory, Group Policy and other Microsoft administrative technologies;
  • Administering services in M365, including Exchange Online and Microsoft Azure;
  • SQL Server and database maintenance;
  • PowerShell scripting;
  • SAN storage configuration and volume allocation technologies;
  • Cyber Security Patching / Remediation;
  • Mimecast administration or similar capability with other email management solutions
  • Palo Alto firewalls (preferred) or other firewall technologies
  • Networking and security concepts. Familiarity with Meraki administration preferred;
  • With desirable experience of:
  • Legal applications, such as: iManage Cloud, Litera, PDF Docs, High Q, Inter Action, etc;
  • SCCM for application deployments, desktop imaging and deploying updates; and
  • Veeam or similar backup and replication technologies.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Administration

  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including network and cloud services used across the firm;
  • Support, implement and manage services in Microsoft 365 and Azure;
  • Monitor capacity and performance of all services ensuring maximum system availability;
  • Ensure systems are secure and comply with our cybersecurity policies and standards;
  • Ensure operational support documentation is complete and accurate;
  • Responsible for building and managing server technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, remote access and supporting infrastructure;
  • Conduct performance analysis, tuning and hardware upgrades; and
  • Provide technical guidance and help upskill junior members of the department.

Technical Support

  • Provide effective 3rd line support, ensuring incidents and service requests are responded to within SLA’s;
  • Respond and troubleshoot critical outages, in collaboration with 3rd party carriers and vendors;
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and implement long-term solutions; and
  • Document and escalate issues as needed, ensuring a complete audit trail of troubleshooting steps.

Project Delivery

  • Take the technical lead on assigned technology projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project standards;
  • Identify and implement improvements/upgrades to the IT infrastructure.
