The Role
Global IT Services (GIS) at Analog Devices, is currently seeking a lead enterprise IT infrastructure architect to deliver future generation of IT architectures that accelerates business growth, improves user experiences, and enables IT operation excellence. The role requires an extremely broad skilled architect, capable of many aspects of IT infrastructure and operations in manufacturing, software and hardware engineering and enterprise technologies while possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should enjoy and excel at solving large enterprise level problems with a vision for the future. The candidate will operate as a technical interface between GIS and key stakeholders within IT, CTO and different business units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, this individual would have responsibilities in these areas (but not limited to)

  • Strategic Planning
  • Develop transformational enterprise architecture strategy, with platform service as a cornerstone for infrastructure & operations, ensuring alignment with the ADI’s 2030 Vision with business objectives.
  • Create and manage an enterprise IT Infrastructure architecture roadmap. Identify key milestones & deliverables and drive success.
  • Architecture Development
  • Design and lead the implementation of AI-driven comprehensive IT infrastructure platform architectures, including various technology domains from core stack to business focus in manufacturing, engineering and enterprise, a set of services that are customer-facing and integration tools.
  • Develop architectural models and blueprints to guide the development and integration of IT systems.
  • Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud and on-premise infrastructure solutions.
  • Drive an automation-first approach for all infrastructure deployments and configuration operations, including mentoring administrators in the use of automation tools and capabilities.
  • Initiate and implement architecture and design changes, while ensuring that existing infrastructure services are not negatively impacted.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and infrastructure architecture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on matters related to cloud and infrastructure architecture.
  • Technology Evaluation and Selection
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption to support business objectives.
  • Lead the selection of appropriate technology platforms, tools, and frameworks.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept to evaluate software and hardware products from external vendors and report on the same as a technical expert and advisor.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with business leaders, customers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Lead infrastructure projects; participate in the company’s application development projects as a systems specialist and solution provider, with the overall aim of providing well engineered, secure, and integrated solutions.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to infrastructure and development teams; conduct design reviews ensuring adherence to architectural principles and design standards in the implementation of enterprise solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of solutions into the overall IT ecosystem.
  • Operation Excellence
  • Identify technology opportunities and gaps to drive operation excellence with industry leading SLAs.
  • Work closely with information security analysts and advisers to remediate security risks through technical and procedural endeavors.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and update architecture plans accordingly.
  • Manage and monitor data replication/protection and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the recoverability of data and systems in a timely manner and for appropriately defined periods of retention.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in math or science / engineering. Typically requires minimum of 13+ years with BS or 11+ years with MS related and progressive experience as similar capacity at global organizations.
  • A broad understanding of a typical architecture development flow.
  • Extensive knowledge in IT infrastructure (data center, network, servers, virtualization, VDI, storage, containers), cloud and AI platforms, programmable infrastructure IaC, SRE practices and DevOps practices across business domains, and architecture design methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in various business functions, enterprise, semiconductor manufacturing, engineering design and processes
  • Communication and collaboration with extended global teams, both within IT and outside IT.

  • Strong presentation and technical documentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work and lead a team to aggressive schedules.
  • Self-motivated, thorough, autonomous, and driven for continuous improvement
