ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience to join the Jaguar TCS Racing team. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of systems whilst helping deliver new technologies and infrastructure to help ensure success on track.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Help to ensure day-to-day continuity of infrastructure services at the factory across R&D, HIL, DIL, Cloud and Data Processing operations.
  • Support IT operations in-person at track test events across the UK & EU.
  • Take ownership of and coordinate IT hardware movements during test events.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of servers, storage, and connected infrastructure.
  • Provide day to day support for our on-premise compute estate, including Active Directory, Linux and Windows Server operating systems with the focus to maintain robust and scalable solutions.
  • Provide day to day support for our on-premise and remote networking estate, including Cisco switches, Palo-alto firewalls and SD-WAN environments.
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Cisco, Palo-Alto and Dell Infrastructure.
  • Assist with turnaround of race hardware and pit equipment between seasons.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including server configurations, firewall processes, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide advanced technical support for server and network-related issues.
  • Strive to bring continuous improvement and introduce new technology to the team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus etc.), internal security and compliance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with wider company policy and governance.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to server infrastructure, security and networking.
