This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring IT Helpdesk Support / IT Support Engineer / IT Technician, to learn new skills and progress within the IT field.
PETA are proud to be working with Rocket Computer Services Ltd to support them with the recruitment and training of a new IT Apprentice.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Good communication skills
- Have a personable, friendly and polite nature
- Strong customer service skills
- Have a basic understanding of Operating Systems and Office applications
- A genuine interest in ICT
- Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Drivers license will be a requirement due to the nature of the role – visiting client sites
- Maths & English GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Desirable skills:
- ICT qualifications are advantageous
- Desirable that you are able to self-manage your workload and work using own initiative
- Experience using Windows, Google Classroom and iPads is favoured
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
What will my new role involve? Joining the team as an IT infrastructure apprentice, you will learn:
- How to install and maintain computer hardware, laptops, audio/visual equipment and peripherals
- Routine administration including data backups and Active Directory maintenance
- Software installation, maintenance and upgrading in line with rocket development policy
- Administration and development of Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and E-mail systems, including learning platforms and websites
- To keep abreast of technological developments and encourage the use of ICT at all levels
- To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment around clients
