KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support IT management with delivery of products, programs and project services within the IT Delivery services group for the Microsoft Portfolio.
  • Work with Manager, IT Programs, Products, & Projects Delivery Services to develop roadmaps for IT products and programs based on approved IT Business Plan
  • In consultation with Manager, IT Programs, Products, & Projects Delivery Services, plan the activities and priorities in the portfolio area with a view of synchronization and resource prioritization and to avoid resource shortfall or conflicts impacting delivery
  • Work with the, Manager, IT Programs, Products, & Projects Delivery Services, to develop proactive risk and issue management for each approved work stream
  • Coordinate with project managers to develop timelines, scope and budget
  • Delegate tasks within the project teams to project managers, business analysts, quality assurance/testers, developer, technical staff, and other resources assigned
  • Intervene when development is behind schedule
  • Ensure the process meets IT programs, products, & projects delivery services standards and development lifecycle process
  • Oversee the design, testing and development process
  • Reviews and confirms the system requirements and desired features for future state solution(s) to meets business purpose and scope objectives
  • Coordinate application system or development releases, ensure development and testing environments are available and managed in a controlled planned release schedule, and have received CAB approvals prior to production release

Additional duties:

  • Collaborate with IT System Analysts, Administrators, Developers, Technical Analysts and DBAs to confirm the overall architecture platform being recommended is sound from a technical & security standard
  • Participate and/or present product strategy/ architecture solution/status updates on new or existing system / application development solutions
  • Works with business project sponsors/lead to understand business problem to be resolved by the technical solution, and facilitates a continued open communication channel to ensure the solution meets business purpose and is fit for use once delivered.
  • Works with the IT or 3rd party vendor’s project manager to confirm project scope, identifying high-level project milestones, preparing work breakdown structures and other related project deliverables for the overall technical solution and implementation
  • Work with internal IT professionals and/or 3rd party vendor to put forward recommendations on the technical solution options to meet the business need
  • Work with the IT management to support the implementation privacy impact assessment, threat risk assessment, data conversion, infrastructure and other readiness related items
  • Monitor and coordinate the workflow between the related IT programs, products and project in the portfolio stream assigned; propose process improvements where necessary
  • Prepare RFIs or RFPs for acquisition of new technology solution or service
  • Flexibility to interchange between portfolios or cover delivery roles or functions as required based on the initiative and department need

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT methods, professional knowledge and development lifecycle standards and practices to complex tasks and situations;
  • With the delivery services team, facilitates/conducts use case or personas and journey mapping with stakeholders, users and customers, to help establish and define the system workflow processes to meet requirements
  • Ability to scan marketplace and LAO existing technical products owned for solution suitability to meet the business need and technology capabilities being sought,
  • Ability to quickly understand business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions/timelines for projects.
  • Experience and\or knowledge with all aspects of infrastructure – ISPs, networks, servers, switches, vmware, security monitoring and tools, IT monitoring tools, telephony
  • Experience in working with a multi-site endpoint implementations and rollouts
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technological solutions related to CMS, CRM, Finance ERP solutions, specifically with Oracle Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Customer Relationship Management system(s), TFS, DevOps, and M365.
  • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills
  • Staying abreast of trends and new products and services in the Information Technology industry, with an external perspective to research, learn, and collaborate with outside experts and vendors.
  • Ability to analysis complex problems or system conflicts, interpret, and problem solving competencies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading systems or application delivery components of multiple IT technology projects from concept to implementation.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and framework, understanding the practice of Agile/Scrum methodologies, and PMBOK principles; PMP designation is an asset

Education:

  • University Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or a minimum of 7 years equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree in Management of Technology and Innovation or Master of Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent program is an asset
