Description:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s information technology infrastructure, systems, security, and policies. The role involves leading the IT department to ensure that the organization’s hardware and software needs are met to ensure company success through technological innovation.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 7 years experience in IT or a similar role
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Strong knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and networking.
  • Experience managing teams of IT professionals and managing relationships with offshore support providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, think strategically, and align technology with business objectives.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and data protection.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, proven work experience also accepted.
  • Professional certifications highly desired

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to implement a new ERP system.
  • Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions.
  • Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement.
  • Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
  • General understanding or ability to problem solve for such items as separating information from servers to abide to local, national, and international laws.
  • Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
  • Audit systems, assess their outcomes, and make improvements.
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Will support multiple sites across the United States.
