Description:

YOUR SKILLSET

  • At least three years of professional experience in SAP master data management or in a consulting environment
  • A degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of E2E master data management and architecture, including downstream process control
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, data quality management and the design and implementation of data strategies
  • Experience in the design and configuration of processes relating to SAP business partner and SAP product master data
  • Practical experience with SAP standard tools for data management and migration (e.g. SAP MDG, SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit, LSMW) and optionally with other leading data management tools on the market
  • Advanced SQL and SQL script knowledge as well as at least basic programming knowledge in ABAP and debugging
  • Basic knowledge of data modeling and data architecture, preferably acquired in a data warehousing environment
  • Cross-functional know-how (controlling, production, logistics and marketing) is a big plus
  • Practical experience in planning, implementing and managing data management projects
  • Validation of the feasibility of potential migration strategies based on data objects including data validation
  • Strong communication, consulting and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and the ability to work agile and result-oriented
  • Strong team player with willingness to take ownership
  • Fluent business English is a must, German is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Central MDM team design and implementation of MDG (Master Data Governance) operating model, strategy and architecture
  • Support MDG project activities in a functional hands-on role including requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, solution design, system configuration and testing
  • Distribute/Coordinate MDM related tasks within other functional IT teams and ensure that they are executed in time and in the expected quality
  • Regularly update MDM project/initiatives progress, align on decisions or solutions
  • Actively participate in elaborating MDG solutions by discussing options with stakeholders (functional responsible, IT, MDM…)
  • Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews, conduct MDM change requests assessments, define specifications for MDG development requirements if needed
  • Coordinate for all MDM related issues e.g. data migration, harmonization, integration from IT point of view – make sure global templates are in place and followed
  • Track progress of MDM by follow-up on deliverables (decisions, alignment, input needed) and escalate where needed
