IT Network Administrator

OVERVIEW:

Charter is currently seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator for projects and operations support in mid-August 2024. The ideal resource will have 8+ years of Network Admin experience with network upgrades/configurations/optimization, as well as supporting/troubleshooting Routers and Switches (i.e., Extreme, HP Aruba, Cisco), Firewalls (Palo Alto) etc, in an Enterprise IT environment. Previous experience upgrading/supporting Extreme switches (i.e., 4850, 5520) and Extreme VOSS/Fabric Engine would be preferred. Experience supporting Citrix NetScaler would be an asset. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Term: Three (3) months. High possibility of extensions. Candidates must reside in Canada for the duration of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of Network Admin experience with network upgrades/configurations/optimization, as well as supporting/troubleshooting Routers and Switches (i.e., Extreme, HP Aruba, Cisco), Firewalls (Palo Alto) etc, in an Enterprise IT environment
Previous experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Extreme switches (i.e., 4850, 5520,) routers would be preferred.
Experience supporting Extreme VOSS/Fabric Engine.
Experience performing network upgrades, configurations, and optimizations.
Experience configuring and managing Firewalls (i.e., Palo Alto).
Experience supporting Citrix NetScaler would be an asset.
Education: active industry certifications (i.e., CCNA, CCNP, ECA, ECP) would be an asset.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
