Job Description Summary: The IT & Operational Resilience Manager will manage IT & Operational Resilience related Business Risk and Controls as part of first line of defense operations, governance, and internal control efforts across PayPal UK Ltd (Legal Entity). You will manage and execute risk processes that exist in the first line, such as risk identification, risk assessment, risk and control evaluation, management and resolution of issues and incidents, Annual Risk and Compliance Plan (“ARCP”) output, and risk reporting the legal entities. The scope of your responsibilities in this role is very much centered around execution of governance of PayPal’s Information Technology services in the UK.
Job Description:

Your way to impact through key deliverables and key activities:

  • You will develop and manage the information technology strategy for PPUK region to ensure the information technology strategy enforces applicable local and regional regulatory requirements, and assess any new requirements that may be needed as a result of emerging regulations, with the support of PPUK Legal and Compliance teams.
  • You shall be accountable for the normal operation of services available to the PPUK region according to agreed upon SLAs, including the recovery of operations in the case of a system outage and development of backup plans in accordance with the Business continuity and recovery plan.
  • You will develop, coordinate, publish, and maintain a set of information technology policies, standards, baselines and procedures based on the global set of technology policies and guidelines, so as to meet the company’s legal and regulatory obligations.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to applicable service level agreements and delivery of information technology services by third parties, including other PayPal Group companies.
  • You will represent PPUK needs at a global level and work with senior leadership from different parts of the business, including information security, human resources, communications, legal, compliance, outsourcing management, facilities, and others.
  • Monitor UK relevant product changes and runs the UK New Product Governance Forum. Also performs horizon scanning to ensure required regulatory changes are initiated.
  • Accountable for the operation of services available to the UK region according to agreed upon SLAs, including the recovery of operations in the case of a system outage and development of backup plans in accordance with the Business continuity and recovery plan.
  • When necessary you will directly brief directly the PPUK Board to update them on priorities and top issues.
