WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations & Support Manager with strong leadership and soft skills, with a technical background in operational IT. Experience managing both on-premises and cloud systems with a strong technical background or experience in the research sector.
You will be joining our highly skilled and experienced country wide IT Management Team, and the role is based in Wellington. The role leads a team of Administrators, Engineers, Support staff and IT professionals who deliver solutions enabling the future of environmental research for all New Zealanders.
You will be involved with the management and support of NIWA’s infrastructure and systems throughout New Zealand, including the systems on our two science vessels, ensuring a robust, resilient, and secure information technology environment is maintained.
