Description:

As an IT Platform Specialist, Scheduling and Automation, you support IT efficiency and help implement innovative, effective solutions. You lead practitioners and development teams on business relations, development projects and innovative, complex strategic initiatives, including updates, incident prevention, quality assurance and post-correction maintenance. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of work. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, detailed understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with many partners working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal skills, curiosity, autonomy in finding information, learning about technology, resourcefulness and the ability to facilitate change are therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Represent the scheduling platform’s community of practice.
  • Act as the contact person or a technical resource for the platform and its ecosystem.
  • Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework and recommend corrective measures to put in place.
  • Advise, support and train administrators on how to use the platform and tools.
  • Help improve and update the platform.
  • Propose and design technological solutions, and support teams.
  • Draft documents and diagrams on the technical specifications of the platform and its ecosystem.
  • Support colleagues when there are complex incidents and issues.
  • Have some knowledge of design and programming.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in an IT administrator role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in software administration, installation, configuration and deployment
  • Experience in analysis, documentation and/or technological watch
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of schedulers
  • Knowledge of API, Windows services and web services (REST, SOAP, XML)
  • Knowledge of batch processes
  • Knowledge of JSON, PowerShell, Python, Bash and XML languages
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems
  • Knowledge of managed file transfers (MFT)
