Description:

Medica is currently seeking an IT Product Manager to help drive the strategic initiatives within the Provider Network Product Family. Working with key business stakeholders, the IT Product Manager will develop and own the roadmap for the products required to create and maintain Medica’s Provider Network.
The Product Manager will partner with the Development Team with ongoing and iterative prioritization of the product backlog, ensuring requirements for user stories/features are complete prior to each sprint, and address questions the development team may have in iteration planning and throughout the iteration. The Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring the technology life cycle of their product is accounted for and any necessary investments, upgrades, or enhancements are communicated to their customer base and prioritized with new development.
Accountable for more complex responsibilities with minimal supervision. Serves as a resource to others. Moderate decision-making authority to apply professional specialty to complex projects in organization. Determine and modify job practices and processes. Recommends new ideas and/or work procedures within job scope to influence team or unit goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree focused on business, health care administration or information systems, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 7 + years of related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare
  • 5+ years of related experience working in an agile development environment with hands-on experience working on a product team, preferably with direct experience as a product manager, product owner or equivalent.
  • Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional teams and initiatives, ideally through an Agile framework.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting provider networks within a health plan or provider setting.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to manage and negotiate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching Product Owners to enhance Agile product management maturity.
  • Effective in working in a matrix environment
    This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office – Minnetonka, MN, Madison, WI or Omaha, NE – for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
    The full salary range for this position is $108,400 – $185,900. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position’s scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
