Shermco Industries is seeking a IT Product Owner

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our IT products and ensuring their successful delivery. As an IT Product Owner, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the final product meets the needs of the users and aligns with our company’s objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is a plus. Advanced degrees or certifications in Agile methodologies are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Sr Business Analyst, or similar role in an IT or software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Technical acumen to understand software development processes and IT systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or similar Agile certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team always has a pipeline of valuable work.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translate them into actionable user stories, and ensure their alignment with the product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet user needs. Provide clear guidance and direction to the team throughout the development process.
  • Act as the scrum master in Agile development environments, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, ensuring transparency and alignment with business priorities.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback and data to inform product enhancements and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, incorporating these insights into the product strategy.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and guide future development efforts.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with product delivery, ensuring timely and effective solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers and analysts
