Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an IT Project Management Specialist to support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years’ experience in software development project management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years’ experience working with technical projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience working on Agile Projects as a Scrum Master, a Product owner, a User Experience Specialist, or a development team member
- Experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership
- Experience with RIO (Risk, Issues, and Opportunities) in project planning
- Project Management Certification or degree
- Program Management Institute (PMI) certification
- Experience using role-relevant personal computing hardware (e.g., personal computers, software, printers, and storage media) and standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, and spreadsheets/databases)
- Experience acting as a Product Manager/Product Owner with a focus on product strategy and development execution
TYPICAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages information technology (IT) project plans and deliverables.
- Supports determination of project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle.
- Supports incorporation of quality management systems for IT projects. Monitors project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals.
- Develops and executes project communication plans. Identifies project risks and develops mitigation plans.
- Provides assistance to identify suppliers and to coordinate and oversee supplier activities.
