Objective:
To lead the establishment of a thriving Software Engineering Chapter ,dedicated to advancing software engineering excellence, elevating technology solutions quality, and enhancing the productivity of software engineers, shaping technical direction, setting rigorous standards, and fostering a culture of seamless collaboration and relentless innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and leads the Software Engineering Chapter, serving as a role model and mentor for engineers.
• Defines the chapter’s mission, objectives, and roadmap, aligning it with the organization’s goals.
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the chapter.
• Measures and monitors engineering metrics that enable agility, scalability, data quality and reliability of technology solutions across the enterprise.
• Develops accelerator framework and practices to improve quality of technology solutions and productivity of engineers.
• Recruits, onboards, and develops top-tier software engineering talent along with defining career paths and skill development plans for engineers within the chapter.
• Drives the adoption of Agile and DevOps practices within the chapter.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to software engineering teams.
• Collaborates with engineering managers and team leads to set and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles – through Flydubai Software engineering Playbook
• Acts as a subject matter expert in various software development technologies and methodologies.
• Champions automation and lean software development, test driven development, timely root cause analysis and incident post-mortems.
• Assists to define and refine the software and data engineering playbooks for use by relevant people in Technology.
• Collaborates with senior leadership to define and execute the organization’s technical strategy.
• Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the business.
• Participates in high-impact engineering projects while contributing code, design, and technical expertise as needed.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Need someone who has managed big software engineering teams across various technologies and across multiple cloud environments.

Skills required:

• Strong expertise in one or more programming languages (C#, Java, Python etc) and software development methodologies.
• Experience with Agile development and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, Oracle etc).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Project Management: 4 years (Preferred)
• C#/ Java/ Python: 9 years (Preferred)
• Agile development: 4 years (Preferred)
• DevOps practices: 5 years (Preferred)
• cloud computing platforms: 4 years (Preferred)
• Airline Domain: 3 years (Preferred)
