This high profile Project Manager role sits within Enterprise Technology, Core Banking department, collaborating with teams across multiple locations and multiple Global technology centres’.

In this role you will:
- Defines effective project plans using group standard tools, with the commitment and buy in from all team members and in managing delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, communications, budget, and risks. Defining resource needs, responsibilities, and schedules, communications, budget, and risks
- Collaborates and builds positive stakeholder relationships between the business and IT Teams providing regular updates to resolve any high priority issues affecting the project
- Obtains buy-in from the project sponsor, Steering Committee and other stakeholders for all key project plans, commitments, and changes, including requirements, budget, schedule and scope changes.
- Continually reassess the operational risks and likelihood of operational risk occurring. This will be achieved by reviewing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, and the impact of new processes.
- Adopting and share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement. Work within project controls and procedures, within established quality assurance processes. Adhere to HSBC project methodology at all times.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Project Management, Agile, Scaled Agile and DevOps
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. IT Project Manager for medium/large, complex IT projects using Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)/Agile methodology.
- A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement complex projects, utilising appropriate techniques and tools to ensure success.
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. PMP/Prince 2 and PSM/SAFe certifications are desirable but not essential.
- Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. HSBC Group Systems, UK Systems is desirable but not essential.
This role is based in Sheffield.
