To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a committed IT Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on test automation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• You have knowledge in software testing standards, methods and convention.
• You are experienced in test case design and test case executive, work experience with test automation using Java and also have basic knowledge of SQL .
• You have analytical skills which helps to identify technical issues in the system under test.
• You have a team player attitude and are comfortable explaining your findings both to your technical colleagues as well as to your colleagues from the business unit
• You know how to summarize and report quality related issues, understanding of software development lifecycle.
• You have experience working in agile teams and have a high level of initiative, as well as a goal-oriented and structured working method.
• Knowledge of Java BDD techniques and Cucumber framework is a must ,Knowledge of Test Management tools i.e. XRay and Web Application testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Protractor, Cypress) is an advantage , Knowledge of process modeling with BPMN is crucial.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

YOUR ROLE

As an IT Quality Assurance Engineer for our “Business Process Automation” Application, you are part of our multi-disciplinary product team within the Airfreight Logistics business unit. You work closely together with our developers to prevent, identify and report defects and gaps as early as possible. You communicate with the product owner and other colleagues from the airfreight business unit regarding fulfillment of business requirements and identified issues. In continuous collaboration with quality engineers from other teams you design and implement automated tests.Like any other member of your team, you consciously engage with the way you and the team work. This means you reflect on the tools and methods and engage in discussions about new technologies and changes in the work processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involvement in all phases of the development process to prevent defects (or identify them as early as possible)
• Design and implementation of all forms of automated tests
• Test design and test case specification based on complex functional and technical requirements . Manual test executions.
• Detailed error analysis on different levels (functional, application server log files, database, message validation (web services, JMS))
• Detailed creation of defects and verification . Collaboration with business units in all development phases. To do so, you will acquire the necessary knowledge about our Airfreight logistics operations
• Collaboration with other product and services departments
• Active engagement in discussions about improvements of processes, methods and tools (team internally and beyond)
