We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager to sit within the IT team, based in our London office, but will require travel to UK and EU sites. As a part of the IT team you will be reporting into the EU IT IManager working closely with the Store operations,store operation support, construction, store development, finance, procurement, e-commerce, logistics, team and stakeholders from across the global business.
As an IT Project Manager/Support Specialist at Uniqlo, you will be responsible for managing and executing a diverse range of IT projects, from inception to completion. You will work closely with various departments to implement technological solutions that enhance our retail operations and customer experience. Additionally, you will provide essential IT support to ensure smooth daily operations.
What you will be responsible for:
- Project Management, leading and managing IT projects, including new store and market opening; including implementation and migrations of applications, IT systems and services, also implementation of innovative technologies.
- IT Support, providing comprehensive IT support to retail operations, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues and minimal disruption to business processes.
- Vendor Management, coordinating with vendors for procurement, budget management, and timely delivery of IT services and products.
- Process Improvement, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership, providing guidence and support for project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborating closely with IT teams and leaders across infrastructure, logistics, and e-commerce to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and alignment with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills. Maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Handling device management, including the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent in experience or other certification/education.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in a retail environment. Prince2 (or other similar certification) would be a benefit.
- Experience working in Retail and/or knowledge on retail/store systems (POS, EFT, etc) would be a benefit
- Strong IT support skills with a track record of resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Strong vendor management and budget management skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Business proficiency in English
