Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced IT SACM Operations Lead to spearhead the development of the Service Asset and Configuration Management function, including HAM and SAM across the UK & Europe to support the 10K+ Serco employees across our business, meeting the needs and expectations of Serco’s expanding business, through growth, diversification and acquisition.
The role involves planning, managing and maturing a new ITAM and SACM capability for the digital and technology estate for Serco, including the design, delivery and operation of both standard and non-standard IT asset management services.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective processes and practices that ensure the accurate and up-to-date configuration of all assets and services, enabling efficient and reliable service delivery. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to contribute to the overall success of our IT Service Management (ITSM) initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Proven experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management
Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and practices
Leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience with ITSM tools and CMDB solutions is desirable
Familiarity with automation tools for configuration management
Project management skills
Senior Management experience across Digital Operations, strong commercial acumen as well as a strong understanding of transformation practices and continually evolving and changing organisations
