4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Business Development:
1. Focused approach to build a pipeline of opportunities with a mix of cold calling, leveraging existing
relationships and industry events
2. Planning for tasks at weekly, monthly, and quarterly levels from the annual target numbers
3. Voice of the customer- solutions, key business drivers, and other metrics
4. Knowledge of sales funnel process and qualification to effectively give a projection of business for a year
5. Oman industry vertical understanding with key imperatives of all the verticals
6. Consultative approach to selling
7. 30-40% KPIs would be weighted towards New business and revenue
Operational Responsibilities:
1. Customer relationship management documentation- to give visibility to management on accounts and
transaction history
2. Strive to work with cross-functional team to move towards addressing customer-focused tasks
3. On a longer scope -guide and coach juniors towards customer-facing roles
4. Event Participation and working to get customer business breakfast attendance
5. Build a plan to convert customer touch points from detractors to recommenders
Customer Lifecycle Management:
1. Building up key customers (10 to 20%) detailed insight with planned activity
2. Developing Account Development Plan- one customer account per month to start with
3. Work with cross-functional team to ensure deliverables are executed within the contracted timeframe and
facilitate collection
4. Retention of customer base for respective customer account set
Vendor and Partner Collaboration:
1. Work with technology vendors and partners to source the latest IT and telecom products and
services.
2. Building OEM relationships to enhance one more stream for new pipeline generation as well as
retention
Documentation and Reporting:
1. Key documentation of recording customer and OEM transaction
2. Weekly, monthly, and annual reports on KPIs.
Continuous Improvement:
1. Stay updated with advancements in IT and telecom technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
2. Identify key areas for improvement, one technical and one soft skills to be completed with relevant
certifications in a year
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Experience: 6–10 years of combined experience in pre-sales and operational roles in IT and
Telecom
· In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, telecom networks, and application infrastructure
· Familiarity with industry trends especially in technologies, their adoption challenges, and best practices
· Good presentation skills and a focused approach to improving the soft skills needed to interact with
customers, team members, and peers
Competencies:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
2. Comprehension of the market ecosystem with familiarity with OEM/Principals (original equipment
manufacturers) services
3. Knowledge of prevalent technologies and processes
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
5. Team-oriented and capable of leading cross-functional teams. For now, this is an individual
contribution role
WORKING EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 6 years of experience as a Sales Manager in Cloud, application service & solution, or a
related field.
· Working with people across various nationalities and genders effectively
SKILLS
· Ability to design and propose customized IT and telecom
· Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking)
· Familiarity with telecom protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SIP, MPLS) and technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G)..
· Knowledge of integrating various hardware and software components into a cohesive system.
· Ability to identify and resolve technical issues during pre-sales and operational phases.
· Proficiency in managing multiple projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within
timelines and budgets.
· Experience with design tools (e.g., Visio) for creating network diagrams and solution layouts.
· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
· Proficiency in negotiating with vendors and clients to achieve cost-effective and mutually beneficial
outcomes.
· Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and develop a tailored solution
