CANDIDATE PROFILE:

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of IT or network security experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems or possesses equivalent work experience. They have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management. With experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security procedures, they are knowledgeable about network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts. The candidate exhibits strong technical and analytical skills, demonstrated by their ability to analyse and troubleshoot problems effectively. They possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are a team player capable of working independently, proactively, and taking initiative when necessary. Their strong quality orientation and attention to detail ensure a high standard of work.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Information Security administrator to join the Flogas IT team on a permanent basis.
The Flogas IT department encompasses a wide range of platforms and technologies which ensure the successful applicant will have an interesting role.
Flogas is a strong & mature company but is still very dynamic, constantly expanding into new products and markets.
This role will initially be based out of our Drogheda Head office but will primarily be based in our new offices at Dublin Airport Central later this year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs system security administration on operating systems, applications, and network security devices.
  • Monitor Nessus scan results to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities
  • Monitor, Report on and Assist with patching endpoints and servers.
  • Oversee delivery of the Flogas IT Security Awareness programme, aligned to DCC standards.
  • Responds to and, where appropriate, resolves or escalates reported security incidents, including managing 3rd party activities
  • Monitors system log and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interprets such activity and makes recommendations for resolution
  • Administers and maintains end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights for all systems
  • Complete daily/monthly/annual system checks to ensure compliance with our company IT Standards, including production of Monthly Security Reports
  • Manage and co ordinate annual DR testing, Pen testing and PCI compliance.
  • Ensure all Third party suppliers and registered and assessed appropriately
  • Provides guidance to junior members of the team on latest security trends
  • Produce Monthly management reports on the status of the IT Health checks
  • Ensure all new joiners to the business complete their security awareness training
  • Ensures Flogas environment is update to date with the latest security threats
  • Represent Flogas at DCC Security Community meetings
  • Manage relationship with 3rd Party SOC provider
  • Additional duties as required
