KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving.
  • Remain continuously aware of business, infrastructure, and applications issues and function as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.
  • Manage a staff of information security professionals, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members.
  • Work as a liaison with vendors and the legal and purchasing departments to establish mutually acceptable contracts and service-level agreements for the owned platforms.
  • Participate in change management board, architecture review board and other forums as required.
  • Consult with IT and security staff to ensure that security considered in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications, and software.
  • Maintain a knowledgebase comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations.
  • Manage security projects and provide expert guidance on security matters for other IT projects.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Amcor Security vision, strategy, and road map.
  • Serve as an incident leader for major or high-profile security incidents including validating incidents, coordinating response, facilitating information sharing and conducting reporting.
  • Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to provide recommendations for detection and mitigation.
  • Build and mentor a high performing team with a passion for creating positive culture.
  • Establish meaningful measures & metrics for team performance and SLAs/OLAs
  • Maintain knowledge of all aspects of information security, privacy, and compliance, including PCI, SOX, GDPR and HIPAA

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Preferred - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • 5+ years of experience in information security
  • 3+ years in a leadership role supervising multiple team members.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering and IT operations staff.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organization, project and application development teams, management and business personnel; in-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controls; an excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies.
  • Experience working with legal, audit and compliance staff.
  • Strong project management skills and experience in creating and managing project plans, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.

Responsibilities:

The Information Security Manager is a critical member of the IT Security Risk and Compliance team and will be responsible for a team of senior security experts providing security platform management or global security systems, third party risk management, security consulting, and to prevent or reduce cyber risks that could impact business operations.
The Security Manager must be able to translate the IT risk requirements and constraints of the business into technical control requirements and specifications, as well as develop metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting. The Security Manager is a leadership role that requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work within the IT organization and business management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives.
This role works at the direction of the IT Security Risk and Compliance Director and collaboratively with others across the global organization.
