Since 1972 GC Europe NV, our European Headquarter is located at the Researchpark Haasrode in Leuven. GC Europe NV supports and leads our different sales offices and dealers. Our warehouse spreads our products to Europe and the Middle East. Next to this we produce some leading products for dental technicians.
We are currently looking for a:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: +3 years in cybersecurity, ideally within consulting, with expertise across the following areas:
  • Cloud Security: In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure and an affinity for cloud security best practices.
  • Information Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of security principles and frameworks, including CIS controls and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Governance and Risk Assessment: Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks and best practices for risk management, including ISO, CSA, and CIS controls.
  • Collaboration & Adaptability: A proactive team player who is flexible, quickly adapts to changing priorities, and openly shares knowledge with team members.
  • Client Service Orientation: Responsive to client requests, proactive in delivering effective security solutions, and committed to providing excellent service.
  • Communication & People Skills: Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, with a genuine interest in helping team members grow.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 15-30% travel may be required for audit or project work.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We seek an experienced IT Security Specialist to lead our cybersecurity efforts, protecting systems, networks, and data. This role involves developing security policies, responding to incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across teams to enhance our cybersecurity posture across Europe.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and ensuring quick remediation.
  • Oversee the implementation of security controls to safeguard digital assets and protect data.
  • Manage the organization’s cybersecurity compliance with relevant regulations, including ISO 270001 / NIS2 / Dora requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to design secure systems and enhance network security.
  • Conduct employee training sessions to raise awareness of security best practices and prevent phishing and other cyber threats.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management on security status, incidents, and remediation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving cyber threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to proactively address risks.
