Responsibilities:

The IT Service Desk Officer is responsible for providing the initial point of contact for users submitting an incident or request for service to the IT Service Desk. As a committed team member the Service Desk Officer will provide first level support and maintenance of the computer, peripheral equipment and application environment by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving requests to meet KPI’s and SLA’s. Where resolution of requests on first contact not possible, the Service Desk Officer will escalate as appropriate. This position works closely with other Service Desk Officers and the Desktop Support Team to enable timely resolution of incidents and requests for service. The positions responsibilities require independent analysis, problem solving and excellent communication skills.
