Sandvik SMR IT is Business Area Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions’ (SMR) internal organization responsible for applications, databases, cloud services and in management of IT both in terms of our internal IT production, external suppliers, and managed services. SMR IT, Delivery area R&D is a group of global experts working closely together with Sandvik Business Areas in their PLM applications and R&D Related IT Solutions.
Our largest service is Siemens Teamcenter to which we are now searching for a Service Owner located in Tampere Finland. SMR has utilized Siemens Teamcenter (previously IMAN) for close to thirty years.
We are on a seamless flow, end-to-end, PLM transition journey. In this endeavor Teamcenter is integrated with our EAM, MOM, ERP and CRM applications, thus creating an end-to-end digital thread.

Your role responsibilities

  • Service Ownership: Take full ownership of the Siemens Teamcenter service,

ensuring its availability, reliability, and performance.

  • Service Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Teamcenter service, including monitoring, maintenance, support and AMS partner.
  • Program management: Oversee SMRs PLM initiative and ensure that all divisions adhere to the common goals. When applicable, act as the spoke person for driving the transition.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure the Teamcenter service meets their needs.

Through your extensive Teamcenter experience help quantify PLM transition benefits.

  • Incident Management: Follow up on service KPIs, ensure minimal disruption to business operations together with our AMS partner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the Teamcenter service and implement changes to enhance its performance and user experience.
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of the Teamcenter service,

including configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Training and Support: Ensure, together with our business process owners, quality of training and support.
  • Compliance: Ensure the Teamcenter service complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

Your background

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing Siemens Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Siemens roadmap for Teamcenter;

features, UI, architecture, configuration, and administration.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Siemens Teamcenter or PLM systems are a plus.
