IT - Software Developer V - Java

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong SQL skills and 10 years Java experience to join our client.
Contract Dates: 12 months with potential to extend
Pay Rates:
T4: $101.90 per hour
IC: $116.08 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and host web enabled and database driven applications in Java Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver solutions
• Design and develop quality solutions for systems issues consistent with project objectives
• Develop, implement and maintain solutions that maximize system availability
• Periodic scope assistance
• Work with other team members to cooperatively design, develop and deploy quality solutions to satisfy project objectives and client requirements
• Writes, tests and debugs code
• Participates in code reviews
• Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
• Take part in construction of the requirements, design, testing and deployment documents
• Ensure consistency in coding standards
• Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term
• Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• Development experience in distributed windows or Java environment
• Spring/springboot
• API- rest API
• Microservices
• Experience with SQL, java, J2EE, HTML etc.
• Nice to have experience in angular / react / python
