Description:
Within ArcelorMittal Europe - Flat Products CIO, the Flat segment IT SOX Coordinator is supporting the Flat Segment Head of SOX for all related IT SOX matters. He is responsible for participating in the BARA (Business Applications Risk Assessment) definition, leveraging his IT knowledge to ensure feasibility and follow-up, defining and driving the multi-year roadmap for IT General Controls (ITGC), including feasibility assessments and timelines for bringing non-compliant applications under ITGC, when relevant.
Moreover, he is coordinating the network of Local IT SOX champions to ensure alignment between
clusters, facilitate best practice sharing, and oversee ITGC compliance and testing as per the agreed roadmap.
He/She is reporting to IT Flat Europe CIO and is member of IT Flat Europe Management Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure BARA and RCM are correctly defined, published, understood and followed.
- Interact and Coordinate with SOX officer of IT Flat Products Europe, the different Local IT SOX Champion, the various SOX control owners per application and the different external consultants supporting the program.
- Support the different application teams during Testing the design and testing the operating effectiveness of internal controls (with external and internal auditors)
- Establish regular and seamless coordination with our external auditor (EY).
- Ensure that each potential deficiencies found are discussed and closed or remediated if needed
- Coordinate with second line of defence (regular communication, declaration of deficiencies if any, review of Testing work paper (TWP),….)
- Support business by identifying and coordinating the corresponding experts to participate in Business control testing.
- Ensure communication and reporting to the internal IT team and also the different Business owners and management.
- Coach the different IT teams to ensure good understanding of SOX ITGC purpose, rules and evidence needed.Participate in implementation of SOX ITGC for new application when needed in coordination with Business to ensure reliability of data in Business SOX control
