Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Specialist to operate as an IT Specialist based in our Charlotte, NC office, but will support our global workforce. The ideal person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment and relishes the opportunity to provide timely solutions to meet business needs.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in supporting OS X and Windows-based systems (3 years plus).
  • Experience with scripting is a big differentiator.
  • Troubleshooting hardware (3 years plus).
  • Experience working remotely with users of varied technical experience (~1 year).
  • Administration of Office 365 for at least a year and familiarity with GSuite.
  • Outlook Client Wizardry (1 year plus).
  • Interested in network switches and firewalls (Network± Level but no cert required) (1 year plus).
  • Ability to figure out client-side networking issues (1 year).
  • Legal right to work in the United States

    This role is designed to be on-site in our Charlotte, NC, headquarters 4+ days/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our growing workforce by managing inventory, logistics, and our Employee Life Cycle:
  • Create accounts and grant access to internal resources.
  • Prepare devices for new employees.
  • Partner with HR and IT with employee separations.
  • Provide white-glove service to Discovery Education colleagues:
  • Teach team members how to use new tools.
  • Test new tools and features.
  • Administration of IT systems:
  • Macs and PCs (Windows 10).
  • iOS and Android.
  • Mobile Device Management.
  • Office 365.
  • Zoom Meetings, Webinars, and Phone.
  • Slack.
  • Printers (sorry, everyone has to print sometimes).
  • Work with our vendors to ensure a great experience for everyone.
  • Other cool tools we’ll find.
  • Video Conferencing Assistance.
  • Any of a variety of dynamic and changing IT tasks.
