IT Specialist

Robert Half is working with a growing, dynamic company in St. Cloud, MN, looking for an IT Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations within their company. This is an direct hire, onsite role and our client cannot provide sponsorship.
Your primary responsibilities will include resolving software and hardware issues for their staff, while also ensuring everyone has access to the necessary software and equipment. • Field, evaluate, and prioritize incoming requests for assistance via phone, voicemail, e-mail, or in person from staff members experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, or other computer-related technologies.
• Log, track, and document assistance calls using problem management databases, and maintain historical records and related problem documentation.
• Install, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Oversee the use of information technology equipment and software to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain IT policies and systems that support the implementation of strategies set by the executive board.
• Supervise all technology operations, including network security, and evaluate them according to established organizational goals.
• Identify technology shortcomings and provide constructive recommendations for resolution.
• Procure efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
• Ensure all IT systems are well-maintained and secure.
• Oversee data backup procedures and enforce robust disaster recovery strategies, incorporating contingency planning.
• Build relationships with vendors and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
• Advocate for and ensure organization-wide adoption of new technologies, providing regular training and appropriate documentation.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, coupled with three (3) or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional communication abilities, including the capacity to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with supporting cloud-based software, especially Office 365 and Salesforce.
• Outstanding organizational skills, alongside a demonstrable ability to self-motivate.
• Previous experience in a rapidly growing, dynamic organization is advantageous.
