WHAT IS THE JOB?

As Support Engineer for Esken Renewables you will be dividing your time between maintaining existing systems, delving into technical issues unable to be resolved at front line and delivering change to future proof our services. We are looking to fully leverage the Microsoft stack and will be looking to you to suggest areas of improvement and ideas on how to minimise the subscriptions and services to be more refined. We are wanting to embed the utilisation of MS forms, Power Platform and flows, we are looking for a forward thinker who notices patterns in activities and then pulls together a plan on how to fix the root cause.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Hybrid working pattern, 3 days in the office (WA8 0NX) and 2 days at home.

Responsibilities:

  • To configure and deploy infrastructure items including servers, networks and all IT peripherals, for example: UPS, printers, scanners, mobiles devices, laptops and thin clients.
  • To monitor and manage the IT systems using appropriate tools, and with the aid of the IT Supplier / Consultants where appropriate, in order to maximise performance and uptime.
  • To be an effective point of contact for Internal IT, resolving issues or referring to 3rd parties as appropriate
  • Identify areas where improvements can be made in the IT service.
  • Take responsibility for assigned Projects and deliver them to time, cost and quality.
  • Maintaining a high level of Cyber Security awareness and being proactive in securing our infrastructure and systems.
  • Coordinate activities with other development and support teams.
  • Maintain product documentation to reflect enhancements and other software changes.
  • Provide process improvement feedback the team.
  • Work within deadlines in relation to product release timelines, and consistently complete assigned development tasks in required timeframes.
  • Create flows to support automation within the business in line with governance and process.
  • Understand how power pages can be leverage to reduce manual handling.
