We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide IT Support to the Group, across all locations within the Group.
The Forensic Access Group (incorporating Forensic Access, IntaForensics, Alecto Forensics, Analytical Services International and Forensic Testing Services) is a leading provider of forensic science services to the Criminal Justice System.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Windows 11 Professional installation and configuration (Essential)
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 (Essential)
  • Microsoft Office 365 / Azure (Essential)
  • User administration
  • Exchange Online (preferred)
  • Dynamics365 (preferred)
  • Microsoft Active Directory (Essential)
  • User account administration
  • Group Policy setup and troubleshooting
  • Application support
  • A basic understanding of LAN and WAN technologies including, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, CP Addressing, VPN, switching routing, wired and wireless access
  • Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware / Proxmox)
  • Procedure and documentation development
  • Excellent analytic and trouble shooting skills, with a logical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

To provide IT Support to the Group, across all locations within the Group.
Ideally we are looking for someone on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required depending on business need.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tend to the IT Support desk, acting as first line support
  • IT Hardware installation & configuration
  • Server & network equipment configuration and administration
  • Update & manage anti-virus, security and software patching products
  • installation and configuration of printers
  • Ability to provide advice & guidance to users ensuring policies & procedures are adhered to
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve PC & sever faults
  • Support for MS Office Applications & Windows
  • General IT support for the business
