Description:

Treesa Builders is looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our Vancouver office and provide technical support to our growing team. This role is essential to maintaining our IT infrastructure, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a smooth operational experience for our staff. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in an IT support or IT engineering role, with experience in a multi-user environment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS, Office 365, networking protocols, and familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and remote desktop support tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical staff effectively.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first-level and second-level support to staff for hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, both in-person and remotely.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of company devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware.
  • Network Administration: Assist in the administration of local networks, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across the office, and troubleshoot network issues as they arise.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption.
  • User Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on IT best practices, including cybersecurity awareness, software usage, and efficient troubleshooting steps.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, track inventory, and manage the acquisition and disposal of equipment as needed.
  • Data Backup & Recovery: Monitor data backup processes to ensure data integrity and support data recovery as needed.
  • System Upgrades: Coordinate and assist with system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
  • Security Monitoring: Support the IT team in implementing and monitoring security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus programs, and data protection practices.
  • Documentation: Create and update IT documentation, including troubleshooting guides, support tickets, and IT policies for user reference.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT hardware purchases, software licensing, and support services.
