Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. The IT Support Specialist will play a crucial supporting role in maintaining the IT infrastructure and providing technical assistance to our staff within the country primarily our Nuova Farmec Plant in Verona, Italy.
This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve complex IT issues efficiently. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to advance to a more senior role after a period of time based on performance and experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE WELL DEVELOPED SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and IOS operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common business software applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and other domain administration tools (AD, Azure/Entra, Intune/AutoPilot, SCCM, CyberArk, etc.)
- Experience with remote support software (Bomgar)
- Knowledge of VOIP technologies and software (Cisco Unified Call Manager/Jabber)
- ITIL frameworks and Incident logging systems (ServiceNow).
- PrinterLogic & SafeQ or other printer management platforms
- Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Customer-centric attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excels in collaborative team environments while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with equal effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide Level 2 IT support to resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues for end-users within the organization.
- Incident Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner conforming with the ITIL process, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- User Training: Offer training and guidance to end-users on how to use various hardware and software solutions effectively.
- Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals, and ensure proper allocation and tracking.
- Software Deployment: Assist with software installations, updates, and configurations as needed.
- Network Support: Collaborate with the network team to address network-related issues, install, and maintain equipment ensuring stable connectivity and data security.
- Documentation: Create and update IT documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Security Compliance: Ensure that all IT activities comply with security policies, data protection regulations, and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for technical support and equipment procurement.
- Collaboration: Participate locally and globally with other team members and support functions on IT-related projects and activities.
