What does your job as an IT Support Specialist look like?

NN has invested heavily in the last years to transform itself & their IT department into a real digital company, where client service is optimal and process are smooth & automated. Next to that, NN is always looking for new innovative products & services to offer to their clients. In order to achieve all of this, the Service Management Team is a key player in the cooperation & coordination between IT and Business stakeholders .

  • As an IT Support Specialist you will be responsible for managing different ITIL processes, such as incident management, problem management, release management and change management.
  • You will get to know and grow in your knowledge of our entire IT landscape, really creating the “helicopter-view” of all systems, processes & procedures. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business & IT will be crucial in the management of our services.
  • You will be responsible for the intake & categorization of different IT incidents/problems, after which you will assign & coordinate these to & with the concerned technical IT teams. You will do the follow-up of these incidents/problems and communicate on progress and solutions.
  • You are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across teams and different departments, you serve as liaison when needed. You easily connect and align stakeholders within all levels of the organization, from IT Leads to IT developers & Infra engineers and from Operational managers to external partners, to ensure that the IT services are aligned with the business needs and expectations.
  • You will monitor and report on the IT service performance, quality, and compliance, and initiate improvement actions when needed. If necessary, you will report on incidents depending on the different SLA’s NN has for different systems and domains.
  • You will act as a point of contact and escalation for the IT service stakeholders, and foster a culture of customer satisfaction and service excellence. All of this you will be doing in a very dynamic and versatile environment, where digitalization is crucial.

This is how you fit perfectly into our team

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in IT/technics/science.
  • You are interested in/have affinity with IT in general.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and frameworks is an additional asset.
  • You have a certain affinity with insurance or are definitely open to learn more about it.
  • You speak and write fluently English and Dutch. A basic knowledge in French is an asset.
  • You have strong communication skills and look forward to working together with different departments, domains and teams in the company.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can handle complex and ambiguous situations.
  • You are proactive, flexible, and customer-oriented, and can adapt to changing business and IT environments.
  • You identify yourself with a vigilant superhero, preventing incidents from happening but solving them swiftly when they do occur.
