Join our team at Creation Technologies in Vancouver as an IT Support Technician! In this role, you’ll collaborate with our Business Systems Group to provide support to over 300 users in a dynamic and fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. As a subject matter expert, you will be instrumental in supporting our manufacturing systems within the Vancouver business unit. Position Overview: Creation Technologies is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to our internal customers and support a variety of IT functions in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Perform remote or in-person troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.
- Deploy and support network hardware, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile/landline phones.
- Configure and support Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
- Assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Perform imaging and cloning of PCs.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an IT support role.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on high-quality communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of hardware components and configurations.
- Proficient in various software applications, particularly:
- Windows Server (2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
- Microsoft Windows 10
- Microsoft Office 2016/365
- Experience with PC and server hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PC imaging and cloning processes.
- Experience with OS deployment using imaging software.
- Network diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of Teams and SharePoint.
In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from 55k-65k CAD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Please note that this salary range is not guaranteed, and the final offer may vary based on experience, education, location, and shift. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
