Description:

This role provides local and remote technical support for IT-related matters (i.e., laptop and desktop hardware & software, peripherals, desk and mobile phones, audio, and video conferencing). The ideal candidate should deliver excellent customer service to diverse users with professionalism and dedication. They must also adapt swiftly and learn quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide primary support for a wide range of applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Apple Mail, VPN clients, Intune, JIRA, and other software used by the organization.
  • Oversee the maintenance, deployment, and collection of staff computing resources, including laptops and other devices, ensuring they are functioning optimally.
  • Execute software installations using various internal tools, ensuring all systems are up to date and secure.
  • Provide technical support for Zoom and Teams video conferencing rooms, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted meetings.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by adhering to the approved asset tracking procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
  • Monitor tickets daily, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of progress and resolutions.
  • Assist end-users with iPhone, Android, and other mobile device issues, ensuring they are operational and secure.
  • Provide support for the organization’s Cloud VOIP telephone system, ensuring reliable communication services.
  • Balance daily workload effectively by prioritizing and resolving multiple competing issues, striving to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Complete assigned monthly and quarterly tasks, as directed by the manager, to support ongoing operations.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation for processes to enhance team efficiency and end-user self-service capabilities.
  • Participate in ad-hoc and scheduled projects, such as hardware refreshes, office or desk moves, contributing to their successful execution.
  • Escalate critical issues and communicate significant problems to appropriate management levels in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to be onsite after hours occasionally, as needed, to support critical tasks and ensure business continuity.

What you need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support, with a proven track record in resolving technical issues and providing exceptional user support.
  • Advanced expertise in Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite, with strong troubleshooting and optimization skills.
  • Competency in supporting macOS platforms, with the ability to resolve issues on Apple devices effectively.
  • Highly skilled in creating and maintaining clear, procedural, and process-oriented documentation.
  • Strong listening abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, dedicated to delivering a positive user experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively amidst competing demands.
  • Experience in a global IT environment, providing support across diverse regions and time zones.
  • A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with a desire to stay updated on industry trends.
  • A proven team player with experience working collaboratively with colleagues in different locations.
  • Solid understanding of various IT hardware types and form factors, enabling effective support and maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with proficiency in routing cables under desks and around furniture.
