The Pathology IT team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our growing team that supports over 500 staff across pathology, providing a vital service to the hospital and wider community.
You will be required to oversee management and clinical information analysis and reporting, clinical system support and testing to deliver frontline system support, be involved in application development, improve data quality and train users on pathology applications.
The department is required to produce detailed, accurate data reports for various commissioners and stakeholders. In particular this role will have responsibility for producing data reports to NHS England for our Genomics service using Patient Level Contract Monitoring, so we are looking for someone with the right experience to deliver this.

Key Responsibilities
Work to deadlines to deliver key reports for UHS pathology services, for example, departmental workload and invoicing data.
Train and assist others with new queries and report design.
Advise the Operations Manager, Planning, Contracts and Finance Teams, on all aspects of activity monitoring, data handling and quality.
Be responsible for the development, production and version control of Pathology Data Quality policies and procedures, in accordance with UHS Pathology Quality Management System standards.
Occasional travel to other customer/service sites may be required.
What experience/skills are needed
Degree in IT/Informatics/equivalent or equivalent knowledge/experience.
Intermediate MS Excel experience
NHS data quality and management experience
Pathology Informatics experience
