BACKGROUND

We are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator with a focus on MS SQL and Windows to join our team in Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing MS SQL Server and Windows server infrastructure, providing advanced support, troubleshooting, and contributing to IT projects.The ideal candidate has solid experience in maintaining and improving MS SQL and Windows environments, with a strong focus on automation, security, and performance optimization.

• Handle 2nd and 3rd level support, addressing tickets and resolving complex system issues
• Take charge of the MS SQL Server environment, ensuring smooth performance, high availability, and adherence to security protocols
• Maintain and refine the SQL Always-On Cluster and Windows servers, continuously optimizing for stability and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to address infrastructure requests and assist with troubleshooting.
• Contribute your expertise to internal IT projects, particularly focusing on MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and automation processes
• Streamline repetitive tasks and service requests by developing automation solutions
• Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems within the SQL and Windows environments
• Create and maintain clear documentation of technical processes and configurations to support team collaboration
