The IT Systems Administrator designs, maintains and supports the WHA information technology infrastructure. Works as a consultant with internal and external partners to align WHA technology foundational components to business system initiatives.
- Designs, builds, supports, maintains and monitors Windows servers.
- Supports and maintains WHAs telecommunications infrastructure, virtual server infrastructure and storage infrastructure.
- Manages and maintains MS server suite: including MS SQL server, Exchange, Active Directory, MS System Center and Remote Desktop Services.
- Maintains and creates WHA IT documentation.
- Designs, builds, documents and tests backups and disaster recovery plan.
- Manages, maintains and monitors network services and appliances.
- Resolves network, hardware, phone and software problems in person, via a help desk, and by working with a ticket system.
- Fields general user computer questions on WHA service desk support line.
- Tracks and documents technical issues and communicates results to end users to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Shares on-call duties with Information Technology team members.
- Oversees information technology projects with minimal supervision.
- Documents, communicates and resolves IT-related issues (including, but not limited to, hardware, software, networking, servers and phone systems) from start to finish; research related questions as needed.
- Travels to clinics to support computers and phone equipment.
- Works with help desk to maintain IT asset inventory.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure our asset inventory complies with licensing for various tracking systems.
- Assists Director of IT with the development of long and short range IT/IS plans for WHA.
- Assists Director of IT with development of IT budget and IT policies.
- Maintains relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers. Monitors performance and makes recommendations as needed.
- Attends WHA and IT meetings.
- Member of the WHA incident response team. Maintains an understanding of common cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies, knowledge of best practices for securing WHA’s network infrastructure and endpoints.
- Assist clinical staff and IT Applications team with medical imaging support and maintenance (mammography, ultrasound, etc.)
- Assist clinic leadership, Operations, and Marketing with telecom reporting.
- Completes status changes (hire, transfer, term) in various IT systems.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or the equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.
- Experience in maintaining and supporting servers, hardware and software.
- Help desk or Microsoft-focused computer experience.
- Experience managing IT projects from start to finish.
- Experience in maintaining Windows Server, Vmware, Exchange/email and Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience supporting VPN and/or Cisco Networking equipment preferred.
- Current drivers license and vehicle, or ability to procure transportation to other clinics or meeting sites.
