IT SYSTEM ENGINEER (M/F)

Due to our continuous expansion, CLdN IT Systems SA is looking for a System Engineer to reinforce the IT Support & Project Services team for our headquarter in Luxembourg (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg).

MISCELLANEOUS EXPERIENCES

  • Networking: router, Firewall, switches, WLAN
  • HP-UX and/or Linux RedHat
  • HP Storage & Server infrastructure

Responsibilities:

You will be in charge of controlling our Infrastructure hosted in 2 datacenters in Luxembourg as well as our 20 remote sites in Western Europe serving more than 1000 users. You will execute the following tasks:

Operations:

  • Incident support on urgent or large impact issues (Incident Management);
  • Investigate and determine incident root cause (Problem Management);
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem solving;
  • Provide to 1st and 2nd level best attention, mentoring and documentations;
  • At high level, manage and supervise all installed systems and infrastructure;
  • Operate a permanent and proactive healthcare control of your platform;
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks;
  • Ensure Data Security against internal and external attack.

Project & Change Management:

  • In cooperation with our Head of Infrastructure (CTO) and external consultants, review or propose design of Hardware / Software / Network configuration;
  • Realize proof of concept (POC) on various technologies;
  • Test for new versions and features on UAT and Pre-Production environment;
  • Manage projects, plan resources and forecast delivery;
  • Operate Change Management:
  • Schedule operations in cooperation with users / IT Team / Suppliers;
  • Verify actions plan conformity with our requirements and safe to our operations;
  • Program and assist third party onto their actions;
  • Report progress and milestone.
  • Execute/follow-up of the installation by ensuring a smooth running of all IT systems;
  • Based on management report, elaborate system functionality and ensure that IT facilities meet user needs;
  • Ensure that software licensing laws are respected.
